Consider the people in your life; they are not there by accident. God brings people into your life for a purpose. We should live with the awareness that we are here to add value to others and help them succeed. Instead of thinking, "I wonder what this person can do for me or what they have to offer," we should have the mindset of, "What can I do for them? How can I help them achieve their goals? Can I connect them with someone who can help them?"
Avoid the mistake of being self-centered. Instead, strive to be a dream releaser. Use your talents, influence, and experiences not just to achieve your own goals but to help inspire someone else's dreams.
Remember, there is nothing more fulfilling than knowing you helped someone become better. It could be as simple as a two-minute phone call offering encouragement. When you live as a dream releaser, you’ll find that your dreams begin to come alive as well.
As John Maxwell says, “A word of encouragement from a teacher to a child can change a life. A word of encouragement from a spouse can save a marriage. A word of encouragement from a leader can inspire an individual to reach their full potential. Be the type of person you want in your life; encouragement is like oxygen to the soul.
People who add value to others do so intentionally, and this “how” attitude guides us:
Truly value people.
Think of ways to add value to people.
Look for ways to add value to people.
Evaluate: Did I add value to people today?
Multiply: Encourage others to add value to people.
Intentionally Own It! What personalized growth does this message encourage me to pursue, and why does it matter? When will I take action, and what value will it add to my life and the lives of others when I do?
