One of the most life-changing lessons I have ever been taught is: Travel the High Road, always.
Be good to the people who have not always been good to you. Be kind to the people who aren’t always kind to you. Travel High. Travel Long. Travel Light. Be a second-mile person who is hard to offend and does not bring garbage with you - let go of it!
People will test your character throughout your lifetime and try to bring you down. When this happens, take a moment to stop and pray for their attitude. Pray that they would be forgiven and blessed. When you do, you take away their power.
High Road Principle: You go to a higher level when you treat others better than they treat you!
Taking the high road will attract others to you because most people enjoy spending time with positive and generous people.
When you see things from other people's perspectives, shift toward adding value to them, and help them, regardless of whether it benefits you, your life will become more fulfilling. As John Maxwell states, "When you do what’s right, you are not only taking the high road with others, but you’re also taking the high road with yourself, and when you experience this joy, you'll never turn back."
Intentionally Own It! What personalized growth does this message encourage me to pursue, and why does it matter? When will I take action, and what value will it add to my life and others?
