The phrase “put on” holds significant meaning.

I’ve never entered my closet to find my clothes or shoes magically jumping onto my body; I always have to put them on intentionally.

In the same way, we must consciously “put on” the attitudes that shape us—it's a choice we make. It’s essential to reflect on how you treat yourself, because sometimes we try to share something with others that we don't possess ourselves. If we don’t have love and positivity within, how can it flow through you to anyone else?

So, what should we choose to put on?

Every day, start with a mindset of speaking words that are faithful and positive, which will improve your life and circumstances. Align your thoughts with positive, hopeful, and believing thoughts and ideas.

Every day, make it a priority to end your day positively, as the final hour influences both the quality of your sleep and the quality of your following day.

Consider adding this simple transformational routine to your life:

  • For better sleep, put your phone on airplane mode before bed or move it to another room completely.

  • Pull out your journal, or spend time reflecting on your daily wins, the blessings in your life, and how you were a blessing to someone else.

  • After framing your day positively, choose and commit to what you see as wins, blessings, and personal growth for tomorrow.

  • Spend time reading something that enriches your mind and life.

  • Pray and then commit to sleep.

What I love about this simple is that it directs our focus inward + forward. It reminds us that our attention shapes our experiences; whatever we concentrate on tends to grow. By emphasizing gratitude and the positive aspects of our lives, we'll start to notice and create even more of these blessings every day, stemming from all our experiences.

When we intentionally begin our days on a positive note and end them the same way, it’s deeply fulfilling and transformative.

Intentionally Own It! What growth does this message inspire me to embrace, and what makes it matter? When I embrace it, who am I becoming, and what value does this add to my life and to others?
