“As unattractive as consistency might sound, it’s one of the most powerful traits of people who make the widest and deepest impact. Through trials and triumphs, such people never quit. Rather, they choose to stay committed. The signature of mediocracy is chronic inconsistency.” - Jim Collins.

You’d be surprised how many people wake up daily and fight with themselves over whether or not to keep their commitments, stick to their disciplines, or carry out their action plans. Successful people adhere to the “no exceptions” rule regarding daily disciplines. For example, your focus is already made when you are 100% committed. However, if you are only 99% committed, that 1% difference sneaks in and steals your focus and energy, ultimately holding the potential to derail you.

You can apply this concept to just about anything. When you wake up knowing you’re 100% committed, there’s no internal debate – you already know it’s something you will do; ultimately, that action will lead you toward growth that holds meaning for you.

Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day.

Jim Rohn shares, “Your level of success will rarely exceed your level of personal development because success is something you attract by the person you become. If you want to have more, you have to become more. For things to change, you have to change. For things to get better, you have to get better. For things to improve, you have to improve. If you grow, everything grows for and around you.”
