Courage is not simply one of the virtues; it’s the most important of all virtues because, without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage. – Maya Angelou

Courage is the foundation of all virtues.

  • Courage enables you to maximize your potential and that of others.

  • Courage sends a rush of energy throughout your body, making you feel like you want to wrap your hands around the day.

  • Courage sustains you to live a life with few regrets.

  • Courage allows you to climb as you step up the ladder of life. The more you use your courage muscle, the stronger and more confident you’ll become.

  • Courage encourages you during difficult and uncertain times. The most significant test of courage is to bear defeat without losing heart.

  • Courage propels you to reinvent yourself as many times as needed. It gives you the power to leave the familiar and readjust.

  • Courage sustains you to hold on long enough to win. Positive and negative emotions are in us at all times - the greater of the two will win.

  • Courage advances your voice. Respect is earned on difficult ground, and that’s when courage is needed the most. People don’t follow titles. They follow courage.

  • Courage allows you to be immeasurably more than you could ever imagine.

  • Courage will enable you to step into growth – real, raw, authentic growth that’s important to you, drawing you closer to your dreams and what you’re made for.

Intentionally Own It! What personalized growth does this message encourage me to pursue, and why does it matter? When will I take action, and what value will it add to my life and the lives of others when I do?
