My 3 G’s: Gratitude

She is clothed in strength & dignity and laughs without fear of the future. - Proverbs 31:25

She possessed a faith that was not contingent upon her circumstances but based on what she knew to be true about her good and faithful God.

Have you ever played Tic Tac Toe or Connect Four? If so, have you noticed that you can permanently lose when you focus on your next move and fail to observe what your partner is doing? Your perspective becomes so narrow and inward that you forget to look up and notice the bigger picture.

During my journey, I had to shift my focus from being self-consumed to looking outward and being intentional about noticing the good things in my life. I realized that my life was not just about me. The only thing people will remember about me is my impact on them.

Naturally, we all tend to be selfish and think about ourselves first. To change that, I decided to be grateful and focus on noticing the blessings in my life. When we intentionally look up, notice, and act, we become necessary to someone and can bless others.

Gratitude keeps us focused on the present and makes us happy. By training our minds to embrace this thinking, we can shift our perspective and focus on the good things around us. This shift can bring enormous blessings to others and abundance to our own lives as well.

The lesson is simple: Look up. Notice. Act.

“One day, she finally grasped that unexpected things would always happen. And with that, she realized her only control was how she chose to handle them. So, using courage, grace, and faith, she became the queen of her own life, and the choice was hers.”
